International Sportmen's Expo Denver 2024

We attended the 2024 International Sportsmen's Expo in Denver, Colorado at the Convention Center downtown. While it was -4 degrees F outside, we were able to get a little outside fun by looking around the expo.

We got to meet the folks from Boreas Campers who showed us around their EOS-12 overland trailer. This Boreas trailer is very well designed and makes a great use of space. https://boreascampers.com

We then stopped by A&A toppers, there we talked to the guys about the setup they had at the show and we talked to the owners of KingPin Lights. We learned a lot about what they are doing to improve lighting in truck caps and got a demo of the V Series light. https://aatoppers.com and https://kingpinequipped.com

After that, we stopped and talked to Matt at Outdoor Beards. This was the first purchase we made that day because he had such a cool product that Nick was interested in. We sampled all the smells and just had some fun conversations. We really enjoyed meeting Matt and hope to run into him again some time soon. https://outdoorbeards.com

Our next stop was Wahoo Bamboo. This is a local to Denver brand, selling bamboo sheets and pillows. We learned a lot about why bamboo is such a great textile and are considering this for both home and for our Airstream travel trailer. https://www.wahoobamboo.com

Our final vendor stop was at Pyro Putty and this was where we made our second purchase of the day. We have used their fire starter in the past and had made a plan to visit them at the show. We purchased some Spring/Fall fire starter and a small striker to avoid the need for an electronic starter. https://pyroputty.com

The last booth we visited was the Raptor Education Foundation. Their mission is to provide educational opportunities for the public to gain awareness of raptors, supporting the care of wounded and cured birds of prey as well. We got to meet a horned owl and a bald eagle who had quite a story about how she ended up in the care of Raptor Education Foundation. We hope you'll take the time to listen to a bit of that story in the video. They do not share the names of the animals, as this tends to convey the image of pets, and raptors are not pets, nor toys. Instead, they people know the common and/or scientific names of the birds in their care. https://www.usaref.org
