Winterizing our Airstream 27FBQ Flying Cloud

With winter in full gear, we went ahead and winterized our 2023 Airstream Flying Cloud 27FBQ with hatch. Please know, we are not experts on winterization, but want to show you our process. When in doubt, please check your RV owner’s manual on steps they suggest to winterize your camper or hire a professional.

Most of the process involves draining the tanks and making sure the water lines are clear, but there are a few other things to take care of before storing your RV for the winter. We take you through the steps week took to winterize our Airstream Flying Cloud. Specifically, we go over emptying the water tanks, bypassing the water heater, using RV antifreeze and running anti-freeze through the pipes, and turning off systems, and disconnecting the power to our lithium ion batteries.
