Trip to Disney World - Jollywood Nights and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party!

With the holidays approaching, we decided to take a trip to Disney World to see all of their holiday decorations and attend some after-hours parties.

First on the agenda was Jollywood Nights! This is a brand new Disney after-hours party at Hollywood Studios, Jollywood Nights, and it did not disappoint. After a day of travel, we arrived at Hollywood Studios of the Jollywood ticketed event at about 5pm. We took advantage of the short wait times and rode some rides while waiting for the event to start. Once the Jollywood party started at 8:30pm, we ate some great food, listened to some fantastic bands, and watched Disney Holidays in Hollywood with Miss Piggy, Kermit the Frog, Tiana, Belle, Minnie Mouse and Mickey Mouse and many more talented stars.

We also attended Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom. We were able to ride Tron Lightcycle Run twice due to it being down earlier in the day and having a virtual queue for the after-hours party. We strolled the party for cookies and holiday drinks. Due to the lower capacity of the ticketed event, the ride lines were short, so we were able to ride the Haunted Mansion to see the new hatbox ghost, the Jingle Cruise for the holiday overlay, and Big Thunder Mountain.

We tasted Cookies and Festive Beverages throughout the Very Merry party including gingerbread, sugar cookies, chocolate chip cookies, and snickerdoodle cookies. We even took a look at the Very Merry merchandise. We watched the Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade as well as the Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Show. As we exited the park, we saw a “snowfall” on Main Street, U.S.A.
