We had the opportunity to take a look at the Bowlus Endless Highway, Frontier Edition, at the Florida RV Supershow a few weeks ago. Bowlus is a unique brand, going back to the heritage of manufacturing that made the aluminum design so iconic. The interior is beautiful and have paid very careful attention to every detail. We tour the Bowlus luxury travel trailer and sit down with CEO, Geneva Long, to discuss the history of Bowlus and today’s models.

The Bowlus Endless Highway is an off-grid, light weight, luxury RV. It is the original riveted travel trailer, and comes in under 4400 pounds. The trailer we toured was outfitted with the Frontier Edition: Dusk color scheme. There is immense attention to detail. The shower is quite large for a 27 foot trailer and we were thoroughly impressed with the doors that close off the bathroom from the rest of the trailer, but also act as separate doors for the shower and toilet.

The Bowlus Frontier Edition includes: The Adventure Package - 3” Lift Kit, All-Terrain Tires, the L-Track system and a spare tire mount Luxe Package - Wood Interior, Mirror Polish + Ceramic Coating, Water Filtration, HEPA air filter, continuous hot water, heated floors, and 2 skylights Off-Grid Power Pacakage - 19kWh lithium battery and 400 W solar Maneuvering Package - Bumper and Backup Camera The Frontier Edition is limited to 25 builds.

Geneva gave us some history on how Airstream was born from an idea from Hawley Bowlus, the designer of the Spirit of St. Louis, inspired the Airstream Clipper. This was a part of the Airstream history that we were unfamiliar with, Wally Byam sold the Bowlus trailers along side his plans and build kits for Airstream. Hawley stopped production of the Road Chief in September of 1936.
