About CajunMile

About us:
We are Nick and Emily, from Colorado and Louisiana (respectively).  We now live in Las Vegas, NV!  In 2012, while living in Texas, we started running and both really enjoyed it.  After completing the Couch to 5k program, we ran our first 5k race in December of 2012.  We went on to longer distances, completing numerous 5k & 10k races as well as one 10 Mile and one Half Marathon.

In 2014 we moved to Wisconsin.  While there, we entered the world of triathlon.  We completed our first triathlon, Elkhart Lake Sprint, in June of 2015.  Nick finished his first 70.3 in November of 2015, and Emily finished her first 70.3 in July 2016.  For us it’s not about trying to win the race, it’s about getting out there and having a good time.

In addition to triathlon, we also enjoy cooking, photography, traveling, and all kinds of geeky technology things.  CajunMile is meant as a place for us to share how a 30-something-year-old married couple lives.  We like trying different things, so we will include product reviews about technology and fitness stuff.  We will share our experiences, whether they are successes or failures.
